On the occasion of Prosecutor’s Day in Ukraine, we fondly recall an important meeting that took place back in 2020. At that time, law students of our institution had a unique opportunity to meet with Vasyl Yuriyovych Chernikov, a Distinguished and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine and former Prosecutor of the Kherson Region. This meeting left a lasting impression on the students, as for many it became the first step toward understanding the real challenges and nuances of the profession.

During the conversation, held in an atmosphere of openness and professionalism, Vasyl Yuriyovych shared his extensive experience in the prosecution service, discussed the latest methods in forensic examinations, and highlighted the importance of the students’ chosen career path. His advice, grounded in years of practice, was invaluable for those just beginning their journey in law. The meeting served as a real lesson, showing that theoretical knowledge and practical experience must go hand in hand to achieve professional excellence.

We take pride in the fact that our students had the opportunity to directly interact with such an experienced professional. This event undoubtedly left a lasting mark on their professional development and became a vivid example of the importance of combining knowledge with practice to become a true master of one’s craft.
