[if {option-img}=true] <p data-start=An essential component of high-quality educational activities is the development and promotion of academic integrity in higher education institutions. The main goal of implementing academic integrity is to ensure trust in the results of learning and scientific achievements, which in turn forms the foundation for the successful development of education. Therefore, one of the priority tasks of the internal quality assurance system at Kherson Institute of PrJSC "Higher Educational Institution MAUP" is the development and popularization of the principles of academic integrity.

Ahead of International Academic Integrity Day, and with the aim of introducing students to the practical application of academic integrity theory, Dr. of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Oksana Trachuk held an event for first-year students. This event allowed students to systematize existing knowledge and gain new insights into various aspects of academic integrity.

During the completion of several individual tasks, the students activated their knowledge of academic integrity violations, including: academic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, cheating, deception, bribery, and biased assessment. Using the technique of brainwriting (a type of brainstorming), students prepared written descriptions of academic integrity violations. At the end of the session, the first-year students traditionally signed personal declarations of academic integrity, pledging to uphold the principles of academic integrity in their studies at Kherson Institute of PrJSC "Higher Educational Institution MAUP."

We believe that adherence to academic integrity principles among the academic community will contribute to the further quality development of not only the educational sector but also science as a whole.
