The Department of Fundamental Disciplines is a core structural unit of the institute, playing a critical role in the formation of a qualitatively new level of professional expertise in line with the development of the Ukrainian state.
The mission of the department is to instill values of education and culture through the study of a cycle of social, fundamental, and natural sciences. This integrated approach fosters the personal development of students, enhancing their intellectual capacities and abilities in mathematical, analytical, and economic thinking.
The department’s educators include professors, PhD holders, associate professors, doctoral candidates, and researchers. In their work, they extensively apply the latest developments and achievements from both domestic and international scholars.
The department operates based on democratic principles of unity, collegiality, leadership, personal responsibility, and open discussions on issues concerning both the professional training of students and the faculty.
The main tasks of the department include:
Implementation of scientific and methodological support for the educational process in disciplines assigned to the department according to official regulations, with the goal of preparing highly-qualified specialists.
Conducting scientific research related to the department's profile, preparing and enhancing the qualifications of scientific and teaching staff.
Providing methodological support to the leadership of the institution in organizing and conducting educational work with students.
These objectives are realized through the integration of teaching and practice, as well as the full and effective implementation of all elements of the educational process, taking into account the possibilities of modern information technologies and the demands of contemporary societal practices.
