<p data-start=As part of Academic Integrity Week at the Kherson Institute of PJSC “MAUP,” the Director of the Institute, Svitlana Ivanivna Petrychuk, PhD in Economics and Associate Professor, participated in the prestigious Open Education Forum, organized by leading experts in the field of education.

The forum featured interesting and timely presentations from experts, including:

  • “Quality of Education and Academic Integrity”

  • “Why Quality Education Necessarily Requires Integrity”

This year’s forum served as an important platform for sharing experiences and discussing the prospects for educational development, bringing together 340 participants from different regions of Ukraine.

Open Education Forum is:

  • An international conference providing opportunities to discuss leading academic practices, projects, and educational programs;

  • A space for discussions among top education professionals, including webinars and panel discussions on current issues;

  • A platform for communication and experience exchange among educators, students, employers, and other education stakeholders.

Key messages from the forum:

  • “It is not university rankings that determine the quality of student preparation” — Mykhailo Vinnytskyi, Head of the Secretariat of NAZYA (National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance).

  • “The quality of education is determined by its ability to stay ahead of its time” — Yehor Stadny, Vice President for Bachelor Programs, Kyiv School of Economics.

  • “Human capital is the foundation of quality higher education” — Taras Tymochko, Coordinator of the Project Promoting Academic Integrity in Ukraine (2016–2020).

  • “Quality education must be based on principles of trust and mutual respect, the core foundations of integrity.”

  • “Accreditation is a multiplier of trust! Accreditation essentially contains the concept of ‘credo,’ which represents a ‘credit of trust’ for those driving changes in specialist training processes, guided by quality descriptors and educational programs.”

This event represented a significant step toward the development of academic integrity and the improvement of higher education quality in Ukraine, while also strengthening connections among all participants in the educational process.
